JOB DESCRIPTION:

Michael Graves is looking for a creative, talented and team oriented Senior Project Architect to join our dynamic internationally acclaimed team. Ideal candidates should be passionate about design, work well in a collaborative team environment, and communicate ideas and approach in a clear and thoughtful manner. We are looking to fill positions in our New Jersey, Maryland and Washington DC locations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Professional degree in architecture (B.Arch., M. Arch)
  • Ten or more years of professional experience
  • Architectural registration required
  • Strong leadership, design and technical skills
  • Ability to manage project teams, project budget, develop and implement project workplan
  • Lead technical aspects of design and construction projects through all phases including construction administration
  • Proficiency in all design phases (SD, DD, CD) and design and construction document coordination
  • Thorough knowledge of AIA contracts, project specifications, materials & product research, code and zoning analysis, and preparation of architectural proposals
  • Skilled management of internal design team staff and project consultants
  • Fluency in REVIT required.
  • Familiarity with
  • Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Project a plus
  • Self-motivation and high energy
  • Strong presentation, organizational and communication skills

  • Strong capabilities in complex detailing of architectural projects
  • Demonstrated experience with organizing and producing project documentation
  • Construction Administration experience
  • Knowledge of building codes and systems
  • Ability to detail exterior and interior wall systems
  • Knowledge of construction and construction technology
  • Fluency in Revit required

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 4-year Interior Design Degree
  • 2 or more years interior design experience within an architectural/interior design firm
  • Software skills required: Revit, AutoCAD & InDesign
  • Planning experience for the following project types: Healthcare, Commercial, Education & Hospitality
  • Thorough knowledge of interior building materials and specifications, construction administration and installation, furniture specifications and furniture bid documents, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and data coordination
  • Working knowledge of lighting design and building codes
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be eligible to work in the US with no further sponsorship required

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate on architectural and interiors projects, programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development
  • Manage client expectations, conduct client presentations.
  • Provide project team coordination for the finish plans, furniture plans, specifications and material selections required for construction
  • Facilitate communication with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
  • Resolve complex technical issues with project team and develop space planning concepts
  • Create and manage furniture budgets
  • Collaborate within a team environment to mentor associates

  • Eight or more years of professional experience
  • Work with and contributes to the project team
  • Ability to manage multiple small/medium projects
  • Coordinate all aspects of assigned projects and estimates scope of work.
  • Follows office procedures
  • Contributes to the office knowledge community for professional development
  • Contributes to the design of the project
  • Prepares design drawings and construction documents
  • Coordinates with consultants
  • Assist in training and mentoring of less experienced staff
  • Works with clients and contractors, builds relationships and trust for a successful project
  • Schedules and conducts project team meetings
  • Delegates work to the team on the design and documentation of projects
  • Provides technical and design guidance to less experienced staff
  • Provides contract administrative services through construction of the project
  • Assists with proposal writing and processing invoices
  • Assist the business development team in preparing for and attending project interviews
  • Meets schedules project budget and fee budget
  • Manages scope of contracted work and pursues additional services
  • Must be proficient in Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Newforma, and E-specs

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Michael Graves is seeking a Marketing Graphic Designer to join our dynamic internationally acclaimed team. This position will report to the Graphics Manager in the firm’s Business Development/ Marketing/Communications Team for architecture, interiors, and experiential design. Duties will include the graphic design of presentations and other deliverables, updates to the website, and posting on social media. We are looking to fill positions in our New Jersey, Maryland and Washington DC locations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design with experience in Marketing/Communications and/or Business Development.
  • 1 – 3 years of graphic design experience in a marketing or business development role, preferably in an architecture or interior design practice
  • Advanced skills in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Word and Excel on Windows platform
  • Preferable to have experience with WordPress
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments and perform effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong visual communication and graphic skills
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no further sponsorship required

POSITION RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Assist in the production of high-quality presentation materials within the framework of existing and evolving brand standards, for a variety of purposes including business development, marketing, and projects
  • The above may range from maintaining standard project sheets and resumes to sourcing images and creating new graphic presentations, which may incorporate video
  • Assist in creating, curating, posting and maintaining high quality social media posts on various platforms
  • Assist in creating, curating, posting and maintaining high quality website content on WordPress platform
  • Support business development/marketing through research, meeting preparation and tracking results
  • Be an integrated Marketing/BD/Communications Team member
