Comfortable Domestic Architecture

The Cedar Gables house, named for its cedar-shingled, three-gabled roof, was commissioned by Target Stores to showcase its newly launched Michael Graves Design collection of products. We used it to advance the idea of “domesticity” in house design, creating human-scaled, commodious interiors that reflect the rhythm of family activities throughout the day.

Holistic Design for Daily Living

No detail is too insignificant when it comes to a designing a home. By using abundant daylight, wood paneling and comfortable furniture in the double-height living room, we created a warm and inviting place for family gatherings.  Similarly, the private spaces of the house – bedrooms and bathrooms – are all thoughtfully furnished for adults and children.
