Christ The King Catholic Church is situated in a residential neighborhood in Towson, Maryland. The existing property has four detached buildings: a stand-alone sanctuary, a house which serves as the church offices, a deteriorating barn, and a large shed building. The design team renovated and repurposed the existing shed building with new classrooms. The failing barn structure was replaced with a new 200-seat fellowship hall building designed to look like a new barn, preserving the overall character of the property. Large windows fill the hall with natural light and overlook a landscaped courtyard between the shed building and the hall, providing outdoor fellowship space for the church.
