Laurel Beltsville Senior Activity Center

New Construction Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission

The Laurel Beltsville Senior Activity Center, designed for “seniors of the future”, was designed in open collaboration with the client, design team, and three major stakeholders. While meeting the daily needs of an active senior population, the design also creates wonderful opportunities for MNCPPC to generate revenue by offering a facility for large or intimate gatherings, a technology training, fitness, and arts and crafts rooms. Waldon Studio Architect’s, now Michael Graves Architecture’s design approach focused on creating open, flowing spaces that promote an active, safe and fun environment that minimizes footsteps.
