Waldon Studio Architects, now Michael Graves Architecture, adaptively reused and renovated an urban residential apartment building into a community center. The 12,000 SF project includes a complete demolition of half of the exterior walls, and replacing them with new brick curtainwalls, and metal panel skin. The new community center was transformed into offices, conference rooms, an art room, yoga studio, computer lab, group recreation space, and a large roof garden. The building also includes a new third level indoor basketball court accessed by a new elevator.
