Rutgers University Transit Shelters

New Brunswick and Piscataway, New Jersey

Modular Shelter System

Rutgers University, with its widespread campuses, has the largest university transportation system in the country. Rutgers buses log over 1.6 million miles and transport over 90,000 riders a year.  The transit shelters we designed provide not only protection from the elements but also strong visual identity in their form and use of the University’s signature red color. The modular design accommodates a wide range of site conditions and minimizes on-site construction work.
